Our review

Analysis written by Valentin for Minecraft Hosts from the plans and information published by Nitrado, checked on September 22, 2026. This is not a hands-on test.

Verdict

Nitrado, operated by marbis GmbH in Karlsruhe, rents Minecraft Java and Bedrock servers sold by number of slots and billed per 30-day period. Its strength is coverage: nine locations to choose from (Europe, the Americas, Asia, Oceania), at the same price, with support advertised 24/7. The main caveat: RAM stays at 2 GB on the Java plans shown, and the processor model is not published.

Pros

  • Nine locations, at the same price
  • Support advertised 24/7 in seven languages
  • Prices shown incl. VAT
  • Rental possible from 3 to 365 days
  • Separate Bedrock plans

Limitations

  • 2 GB of RAM on the Java plans shown
  • Processor model not published
  • Storage capacity not stated
  • No commercial refund guarantee

Best for

  • Small groups of friends: the 4-slot Java plan costs €5.39 incl. VAT for 30 days
  • Players outside Europe: Frankfurt, London, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, São Paulo, Tokyo, Sydney and Singapore are offered
  • Those who want to rent for just a few days: the configurator goes from 3 to 365 days

Less suited if

  • You want more RAM with more players: the 4, 6 and 10-slot Java plans all have 2 GB
  • You want to know the processor or the disk capacity: neither is published

Pricing and billing

Billing is per 30-day period, not per calendar month, either as a subscription or prepaid, at the same prices. On Java, 4 slots cost €5.39, 6 slots €7.89 and 10 slots €13.09 for 30 days, VAT included. On Bedrock, 12 slots cost €14.39 and 32 slots €32.09 for 30 days, and the 4-slot plan is shown at €1.39 for 3 days. The configurator allows 4 to 200 slots, 2 to 33 GB of RAM and 3 to 365 days, and prices do not depend on the location.

Performance

The processor model and core count are not published. The plans shown have 2 GB of RAM, except Bedrock 32 slots, which has 3. Storage is described as "exclusively enterprise SSD storage", with no stated capacity and no mention of NVMe. The location is preselected based on ping, among nine cities.

Minecraft features

The Java plans support Spigot, Bukkit, Forge and modpacks according to the plan cards, and Fabric and Paper according to the FAQ; NeoForge and Purpur are not mentioned. The Vanilla server does not accept Bedrock players unless you switch to Spigot or Paper with GeyserMC. Bedrock is sold on a separate page: crossplay between PC, Android, iOS, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch is advertised there, but the "Platform" selector only shows "PC". Daily backups and SteelShield DDoS protection are advertised.

Support and guarantees

Support is advertised 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in seven languages, by email and chat. The terms of sale provide for the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, with an amount proportional to the service already provided remaining due if the service has started; no commercial refund guarantee is published. The Minecraft page refers to "European datacenters", while the selector also offers locations outside Europe. The company history cites a founding in 2001, with the operating entity marbis GmbH dating from 2012.

Guides and tools to choose

Notes on the data

  • Billing per 30-day period (not per calendar month): the cards show the price for "30 jours". priceMonthly is therefore null and periodPrice holds the regular 30-day price. Two modes are offered, "Abonnement" (subscription, renewing) and "Prépayez" (prepaid runtime); the displayed prices are identical in both modes. The configurator allows 4 to 200 slots, 2 to 33 GB RAM and 3 to 365 days.
  • Promo code SUMMER2026 (seen in September 2026, removed on 2026-10-05: summer offer that could not be rechecked): the cards showed a struck-through price and a -25% price (Java: 5,39 € / 4,05 €, 7,89 € / 5,92 €, 13,09 € / 9,82 €; Bedrock: 1,39 € / 1,05 €, 14,39 € / 10,80 €, 32,09 € / 24,07 €), with the note "the reduced price is only valid if the promo code is used in the checkout overview". Since the discount requires entering a code, it is not recorded as an offer; only regular prices are kept.
  • Location: the page preselects the location with the lowest ping (list sorted by ping). During verification, Miami (or Los Angeles depending on the attempt) was preselected from the network used; the preselection for a visitor in France could not be verified (probably Frankfurt or London, the European locations offered). Prices are identical for all tested locations (Miami, Los Angeles, New York City, London, Frankfurt am Main, Sao Paulo, Tokyo, Sydney, Singapore): they do not depend on location. No location in France is offered.
  • Discrepancy with the document: the document shows the location "Miami", which reflects the ping-based preselection, not a fixed plan location. The document prices match the site.
  • The Minecraft (Vanilla) page says "your server is hosted in our European datacenters", while the location selector also offers the United States, Brazil, Japan, Australia and Singapore. The selector locations are used.
  • Bedrock plans: sold on a separate page ("Louer un serveur de Minecraft Bedrock") with their own prices; they are included as separate plans. The 4-slot Bedrock plan is shown for a 3-day term (1,39 €), not 30 days. São Paulo is not offered for Bedrock. The page mentions crossplay across PC (Windows 10 and 11), Android, iOS, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch; the "Plateforme" selector only shows "PC".
  • Java and Bedrock: the FAQ says the Minecraft Vanilla server does not accept Bedrock players unless you switch to Spigot or Paper with GeyserMC. Java plans are therefore recorded with bedrock: false.
  • Java server types: the cards mention Spigot, Bukkit, Forge and Modpacks via game switching; the FAQ mentions Forge, Fabric, Spigot and Paper. NeoForge and Purpur are not mentioned (null).
  • Storage: the datacenter page says all game servers use "exclusively enterprise SSD storage", with no capacity figure and no mention of NVMe.
  • Support: "24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in seven languages, email and chat" (About page). Daily backups and DDoS protection (SteelShield) are advertised.
  • VAT: the footer says "all prices on the site are gross amounts, VAT included". Default currency: euro.
  • Refunds: the terms provide the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal; if the service started during that period, an amount proportional to the service already provided is due. No commercial money-back guarantee is published, so refundDays stays null.
  • Founding year: the history on the About page says "company founded by Marco Balle, 2001"; the operating entity marbis GmbH was founded in 2012 (Brauerstr. 12A, 76135 Karlsruhe).
